Shipping Information

Domestic Shipping

Based on the weight of product and the distance it travels.
We are connected to USPS and UPS websites for their current shipping costs.
A slight handling fee is added to these costs to cover boxes, packing materials,
and time to pack. Shipping charges can be subject to change without notice.

  • The following UPS Shipping Upgrades are available at additional cost (added to the Ground UPS rates).

Alaska, Hawaii, APO's & FPO's are shipped USPS Priority Mail ONLY.

Overnight, 2nd day, 3rd day and other shipping methods indicate the delivery time from when the package leaves our warehouse, not from the time we receive your order.

Shipping days are Monday thru Friday. Weekends and holidays do not count towards time in transit.

Orders may take 1 to 2 weeks to leave our warehouse, or longer on items with high customer demand. Competition leotards may take up to 4 weeks. We do strive to ship your order ASAP. We encourage you to contact us prior to placing your order so we can do our best to accomodate your needs.

International Shipping

Snowflake Designs has been shipping beautiful leotards all across the globe since 1992. We celebrate our 30th Anniversary by adding a fantastic, new ship method that is both fast and economical. We still offer the traditional method of using both our countries postal services to deliver your leotards but we highly recommend the speed, cost, and reliability of our new expedited service. Below is an overview of the two methods we offer:

  • Expedited Shipments are available via our Express carrier, GlobalCheckout. It is a wonderful service that allows out of USA purchasers the ability to buy online and ship for a very low cost. You can view your cost for shipping before you officially checkout by clicking the "GlobalCheckout" link in your Shopping Cart. Please compare the cost and shipping time estimates to our most recent ship times for Standard Shipments below.  The following italicized text is a statement from GlobalCheckout:

Placing an International Order

  1. Add the items you wish to purchase to the shopping Cart
  2. Click the "Global Checkout” button, you will be redirected to a secured checkout site hosted by Global Checkout
  3. Complete the order by entering your shipping and billing details. You can also select for the taxes and duties (if applicable) to be prepaid or cash on delivery.

Upon completion of the checkout, you will receive order confirmation email from Global Checkout.

To Track Your Order

  • An email with the international shipping tracking number will be sent once your order ships.
  • At any time you can visit track your order by clicking on the tracking number link in the email or by visiting www.globalcheckout.com (for registered users).

Duty & Taxes

You can choose to prepay your duties and taxes or select cash on delivery (C.O.D) for your order (if applicable). Should you select the prepaid method upon checkout, we will guarantee that you won't be charged any VAT, duty, taxes or other shipping or customs related fees after your order is complete.

Shipping Options

International orders may be shipped via DHL or FedEx. Please note that all delivery times are listed in business days (Monday through Friday). Most shipping carriers do not ship on major holidays.

International Returns

  • Standard Shipments outside of the USA can also be handled by the USPS and your country's postal network. The speed/quality of service we use is Priority Mail International. A majority of your orders will fit into the Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope as these can hold up to four leotards each. The rate for standard shipments is $26.00USD. Should an order contain large items (ex: Water Bottles or Duffel Bags) and/or more than four leotards, we will need to upgrade the shipping to a box. We strive to use the most efficient, cost effective box possible to ship your order. Boxes are priced, at minimum, of $46.30USD for Priority Mail International service and cost is increased by size and weight. We will contact you before charging for such a price change and let you know which items are causing the increase in shipping. If you wish to remove those items from your order, we will happily refund that amount back to your payment method and ship the remaining items. If we receive clearance to proceed, then we will charge your prior payment method for the difference in shipping or, if you prefer, another method of payment. Whether GlobalCheckout (who partners with DHL and FedEx) or Postal Service, we will make sure your package is sent on time and with the appropriate paperwork to clear your country's customs department in the smoothest manner.
  • Important: While economical, Priority Mail International does not include an international tracking number. In our history, we have seen Priority Mail International shipments take up to 21 business days to be delivered. Here are a few recent time in transit for the various countries we service (in business days): Canada (7 days), Mexico (11 days), Brazil (21 days), Argentina (17 days), UK/Ireland (9 days), EU - West (8 days), EU - East (10 days), South Africa (8 days), Nordic Countries (9 days), Russia - West (14 days), UAE (21 days), India (16 days), Singapore (14 days), Australia (15 days), New Zealand (17 days), Japan (7 days), So. Korea (9 days), Hong Kong (14 days).

 

  • Extremely Important: Shipments from the USA may require duty/tax to be paid in your country. Taxes/duties vary by country and can range from 10% to 45% or more of the total value of the order, including shipping. For instance, the Australian government allows its citizens to import up to $1000AUD of USA goods and shipping before levying duties and taxes. However, if a citizen happens to import $1001AUD of goods and shipping they are taxed at 10% plus14% duty (24%!). In another instance, all goods from Snowflake Designs imported to Singapore are duty free, as the Singaporean government charges duty AND taxes to its citizens importing alcohol, tobacco, and automobiles while all other goods are ONLY taxed. Please be aware of your country's fees for imports. Snowflake Designs is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE TAXES. We will NOT misrepresent customs invoice amounts to avoid taxes or other fees.
