Alicia's Gymnastics Journey

If you follow us on social media, you've probably met our brand ambassadors. These amazing gymnasts are dedicated to their sport and want to share that dedication with their followers. They are also passionate about Snowflake Designs, and want to share that with their followers as well.

This week, we have a short story from one of our new ambassadors, Alicia. She is a young gymnast from Maryland who has been training in gymnastics for over 6 years. She has worked hard to reach Level 7, and the short story she tells below shows just how hard she had to work for her success.

Ambassador Alicia after a successful meet.

Last year I was a level 7 gymnast and had a really hard time at every meet. I struggled a lot on bars and was almost dead last at my first meet of the season. I really wasn’t happy with my performance at all.

I ended up repeating the same level and trained really hard and worked on all my skills to be a better gymnast. I upgraded my routines and I did so well at every meet and by the end of the season, I had won Beam, Floor, and All Around state champion!

It wouldn’t have been possible without all the hard work and dedication (and a whole lot of falls)! It's okay to repeat a level and build your confidence and strength for an even better next season.

With hard work and determination, Alicia was able to overcome the challenges in her way and win at her difficult level! This is a great motivating story for gymnasts of all ages and levels. If a skill or even a whole level is too difficult, don't give up! It's not a bad thing to stay at a level for another season. Put in a lot of hard work and stay focused, and you will see improvements!
