Snowflake Designs Celebrated 30 Years in 2015
In 2015, Snowflake Designs had their 30th birthday. After 30 years in business, the Snowflake Designs team was so excited to celebrate with friends and customers! LaDonna Snow, CEO, says she never imagined being in business this long, let alone growing the business to where it is today. It brings her great joy to see kids wearing Snowflake leotards. From making leotards for her daughters to now shipping them all over the world, it has been quite a wonderful journey.
Take a look at how Snowflake Designs began:
One of LaDonna Snow's favorite memories was the time when the phone rang at 3:00 am from Tel Aviv, Israel. It was a woman wanting to place an order. At that time, the business was in her house, so that line rang at her home. The woman had no idea the business was here, in Clovis, California! Snow's husband had just come home from work and was more than delighted to take her call. Snow says she even remembers the customer's name to this day. It was at this moment that she knew Snowflake Designs could make it.
Another favorite memory of hers was about 18 years ago when we published our first catalog and created a website. Posing for the catalog were her two daughters—her inspirations— Kaylene, a gymnastics coach in Ft. Worth, Texas, and Kindra, now President of Snowflake Designs. LaDonna Snow is so proud of her girls!
"As an employer, it's incredible to get feedback about how well our employees are doing. Over the years, we've been blessed to help them buy new cars, and new houses, take trips to Disneyland, and gain citizenship. We treat our employees like family; they do great work. We are very thankful to have such skilled seamstresses, carefully cutting and sewing each leotard," says LaDonna Snow.
Where we are today in 2023:
Snowflake Designs has grown a bit over the years, now creating beautiful practice leotards, warm-ups suits, competition attire, clothing, and so much more that can be seen in competitions throughout the world. Our goal remains the same- Snowflake Designs strives to make a positive impact on the gymnastics community and create relationships along the way through our stellar customer service and superior products. Everything is still made in the USA and our office in Clovis, California is still where all the magic happens. We are thankful for all the gymnasts who have grown up with us and we look forward to providing high-quality gymnastics wear to future generations as well!
