Snowflake Designs Donates Competition Leotards to University of South Florida Club Gymnastics Team

Snowflake Designs always strives to make a positive impact on the gymnastics community and loves the relationships that are made along the way. Snowflake Designs is so excited and happy to have the opportunity to donate competition leotards to the University of South Florida Club Gymnastics team.

“I love seeing tiny gymnasts beginning their gymnastics marathon wearing a Snowflake leo, but there is something extra special about being able to outfit college athletes who have spent years developing a love for the sport. I am thankful that Snowflake Designs is able to celebrate and support these student-athletes and donate competition leotards to their young program,” said Kindra Snow-Walker, President of Snowflake Designs.
As the sport of gymnastics continues to grow and expand, so do the opportunities for student-athletes to use their gymnastics experience in college. It is no longer just Division I, Division II, and Division III gymnastics teams. Acro and Tumbling, Club teams, Cheer teams, and Dance teams and clubs are emerging and growing across the country and allow gymnasts to continue using their gymnastics experience during their college careers.

The USF club team, as well as most club gymnastics teams, are about more than just gymnastics. The club is comprised of a group of athletes who share a love and passion for the sport of gymnastics but also share a commitment to academics. They strive for academic success and always make it their priority. Ultimately, their club is a huge family that supports one another and motivates everyone who puts in the effort to be in the gym every week. They are a very welcoming group of people who accept anyone who may be interested in joining the club regardless of experience or level.
The USF club gymnastics team has created a culture that encourages each athlete to push themselves for success. They have an executive board that gives gymnasts the opportunity to experience leadership roles that can be carried over to future careers. They have a treasurer, president, vice president, marketing, fundraising, risk and safety, and other managerial positions that are all student-run.

"Our team is very appreciative towards your company and cannot thank you guys enough for the opportunity to have been able to obtain competition leotards. This has opened so many doors for us and is a step forward in the future success of our club," said Lovísa, USF club gymnast.

The USF club gymnastics team was created in January 2022, and they officially began to practice in April 2022. There are about 30 girls on the team who are all students at USF. They practice twice a week at Golden City Gymnastics. The club uses the Fall semester to try out for the team, place girls in levels, and prepare for competition season and they use the Spring semester as competition season.
Despite being a very new team, they have already seen some great success. Their first competition was this past February, The Chomp the Swamp meet hosted by the University of Florida Club Gymnastics team in Gainesville. Their Excel Platinum team and level 8 team placed 3rd. They earned top scores of a 9.7 and 9.5 on bars, 9.3 on floor, 9.25 on beam, and a 9.3 on vault.

The USF club values the quote, "alone we can do so little, together we can do so much." They believe that collaboration paves a beautiful path to success and work to build long-lasting relationships. Snowflake Designs is so happy to have the opportunity to collaborate with the USF Club Gymnastics team and cannot wait to see all that they achieve in gymnastics and in life.
