Snowflake Designs Employee Spotlight: Amber
In honor of Snowflake Designs' 40th anniversary in 2025, we will be doing special spotlight features throughout the year to honor and celebrate those who have made this amazing accomplishment possible. We have a lot of people and things to be thankful for as we look back on the past 40 years. None of it would have been possible without our amazing employees and customers. We are so incredibly thankful for the past 40 years and so excited for the amazing things that the future holds for Snowflake.
We started our 40th celebration with a stroll down memory lane on how the business got started with a feature story on LaDonna Snow, Founder & CEO of Snowflake Designs. We kept the party going with a feature on Kim Brooks, Team Sales and Office Manager. Then we took a moment to honor Kanako, Pattern Maker and Designer. Now, we want to feature Amber's amazing work!
Amber is the Lead of Embellishment, aka the bling and glam room! Amber started working at Snowflake in February of 2016. It is safe to say that she has become an expert at what she does in her 9 years with us. Amber oversees others in the embellishment room, runs the laser, vinyl, and rhinestone machines, and fulfills custom orders. Amber is a driving force in the creation of new gymnastics competition and practice leotards, as well as the majority of our gymnastics clothing.
Amber designs rhinestone patterns that are then heat-pressed onto our leotards and clothing. She also hand-places rhinestones on many items that need extra detail and precision. Not only does Amber make our gymnastics wear beautiful, but she also makes our stickers, banners, and signs. Amber has a background in cosmetology, so she also helps with hair and makeup at all of our photoshoots!
Amber plays a huge role in the success of Snowflake Designs because, after all, we are known for our rhinestones and sparkles! She has an eye for detail like no other. Amber can spot a single missing rhinestone from a leotard covered in thousands of stones from the other side of the room. Our attention to detail and commitment to quality is what makes us stand out from the other gymnastics wear companies and we could not do that without Amber!
Fun Fact - Amber, Ryan (IT & Team Sales), and Kindra (President) all graduated from high school together, but they did not realize it until after Amber started working at Snowflake!
“I throw a lot of crazy ideas out to my production team, and Amber always finds a way to make them happen. She works tirelessly and does not stop until a design is perfect. We would not be who we are without Amber’s hard work,” says Kindra Snow-Walker, President of Snowflake Designs.
“Amber is so much fun to work with. She is always making us laugh at the photoshoots and brings so much passion and energy to the Snowflake family. Her attention to detail is incredible and her designs never disappoint,” says Donna Howell, Marketing Coordinator at Snowflake Designs.
We are thankful to have someone like Amber on our team. She is very hard-working and passionate about the success of Snowflake Designs. She has played a big role in getting Snowflake where it is today. We could not have done it without you, Amber! Thank you for all that you do!
