"Banana" is one of our ambassadors. She is a young gymnast working hard to achieve her gymnastics dreams. Her mom Lena wrote a short piece about her and her daughter's experiences with the current world situation. It's both relatable and encouraging to gymnasts and gym moms everywhere right now. This summer I experienced what is known in the gymnastics world as a mental block. I had recently grown a couple of inches so I was adjusting to my new height. One day in practice I balked while doing a back walkover and that was it! My back walkover was gone! I had this skill since last season, and now it is June, 5 months before my first level

This week, we have a short story from one of our new ambassadors, Alicia. She is a young gymnast from Maryland who has been training in gymnastics for over 6 years. She has worked hard to reach Level 7, and the short story she tells below shows just how hard she had to work for her success.
