As winter continues, the weather seems to get chillier by the day. The best thing to do when it gets cold outside is to cuddle up in a blanket, pop some popcorn, and watch a movie with all of your gymnastics friends. But what will you watch during your movie night?

Gymnastics Films

  1. Full Out (2015, Rated TV-PG)

This film is based on a true story about 14-year-old Ariana Berlin, a California gymnast who was involved in a car accident that halts her gymnastics progression. With the help of hip-hop dancing and UCLA coach Valorie Kondos Field, Ariana works towards a place on the UCLA gymnastics team.

  1. McKenna Shoots for the Stars (2012, Rated TV-G)

This film is about American Girl McKenna, a young and talented gymnast. When she starts struggling in school, she gets tutoring from her friend Josie. To make matters worse, McKenna gets injured at gymnastics which holds her back from practicing. McKenna learns perseverance as she overcomes and adapts to the changes in her life.

  1. A 2nd Chance (2011, Rated PG)

This film is about gymnast Maddy Cornell, who wishes to be the best gymnast but lacks the self-confidence to chase her dream. Maddy’s new gymnastic coach, Kate, helps her compete against her rival Chelsea for a place on the National Gymnastics Team.

  1. Raising The Bar (2016, Rated TV-G)

This film is about Kelly, an American gymnast who has to quit her elite gymnastics team when her family moves to Australia. To help out a new friend, Kelly reenters the gymnastics world.

This film is about a former basketball player named Cathy Rush who is tasked with creating and coaching a women’s Catholic college basketball team. With the help of a young nun, Sister Sunday, the team becomes great and starts to gain support.
